KEE GAD had acquired M/s SSA Diagnostics and Biotech Systems (SSA) in August 2008 and had thus acquired the rights to utilize their licenses for the manufacture of a wide range of rapid diagnostic tests through loan-licensing arrangements. The products include rapid tests for detecting several viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases; the range also includes detection of physiological status of human body fluids through the measurement of certain enzymes and hormones. KEE GAD had also obtained ISO 9001:2008/ISO 13485:2009 certification for its SSA Diagnostics unit. Besides, SSA Diagnostics also obtained approval from WHO for testing some of its diagnostic tests as part of the evaluation process of WHO. SSA Diagnostics has started executing export orders for its range of Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT).
